Andy has been immersed in music for as long as he can remember. Raised in a deeply musical family, he grew up surrounded by classic country, bluegrass, gospel, and early rock ’n’ roll. His father and uncles played a variety of string instruments, and Andy spent his childhood harmonizing with them and absorbing the sounds of Elvis Presley, Hee Haw, the Jackson 5, and the greats of the ’50s through ’70s.
While most of his family gravitated toward guitars and traditional string instruments, Andy found his passion in drums. Inspired by school performances and determined to carve his own musical path, he practiced relentlessly, played in marching band for three years, and eventually saved enough money working summer tobacco fields to buy his first drum set. He spent countless hours learning songs by ear from albums and tapes, developing a wide range of influences from AC/DC and Van Halen to Ozzy Osbourne and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
By his early twenties, Andy formed his first band, Fair Warning, followed by time with Quiksilver and later Roulette, performing everything from country and beach music to funk, rock, and metal. After years of performing, running sound, and managing bands, Andy founded Misbehavin in early 2017 with a clear vision: a group versatile enough to play something for everyone. From bluegrass and country to funk, blues, Southern rock, classic rock, and heavy rock, Misbehavin delivers a high‑energy, genre‑spanning show built on strong musicianship and genuine camaraderie.
As both drummer and sound engineer, Andy brings decades of experience, passion, and leadership to the band. He’s proud of the talent and chemistry shared with Adam, Cliff, and Shane, and looks forward to many more years of making music together.
